BIOGRAPHY

1974: Born in Maubeuge (France)

1981: He moved with his family to Charentes Maritimes, western France.

1982: He began drawing at the Art School of Saint-Jean d'Angely.

1988: Learning carpentry and joinery in the hope of becoming a stage designer.

1992: He went to Paris to work as a carpenter. In Paris, he discovered the world of the ''Beaux-Arts'' and art galleries which decided him to become a creative artist.

1994: Travelled in Spain.

1995: He went on military service and worked with mentally handicapped adults doing manual activities and regular exercice. He registered to sit in on lectures at the University of history of art.

1996: He was fascinated by the 'Art Brut' which gave him food for reflection. He painted his first large sized paintings. He explored what he names 'the world of unbalance'.

1997/1998: The 'domino' object becomes his main topic. He represents the image of mankind through the 'domino' object.

1998: He registered at the College of art and architecture in Poitiers.

2000: The 'domino' object does not appear anymore in his work. Only the black point is present.

2001: He set up in Lille and divided his time between painting and acting as a theatre director.

2002: Travelled in the Ukraine.

2003: He started a study of 'crowds' and their social movements. He went to the anti G8 event in Geneva, Switzerland, where one of his 'performance' took place: ''Tu marches, tu te démarques''.

2004: Travelled to London

2005: He divided his life between Brussels and Lille where he still had his work shop. He took a course of engraving at the Academy of Brussels. He started using thread to give an other dimension to his sculptures.

2006: Travelled in Casablanca and Fès in Marocco.

2007: He took a course in video montage.

2008: Web ''performance'' on the auction web site: ''qui veut se payer la tête d'un milliardaire?''- ''who can make fun of a multimillionaire ?''. His work on the ''Babel's Towers'' attempts to comprehend the evolution of the consumer society and its excessive production.

''I think our society produces images which are too perfect, ''too clean'', ''too aesthetic'', ''too attractive'', and the people feel obliged to ressemble these images. I want to find my own identity in order to make my own images so that I shall no longer be obliged to undergo those which are forced on us all.
